ABOUT FANLISTINGS
A fanlisting is, quite simply, an online list of fans for a given subject. It's easy to join; all you need is a name, e-mail address, and country. Your e-mail is used only for database purposes and so that the fanlisting owner can contact you, for example if the listing moves or is closed. Also, if you choose to list your e-mail address on the list, other members will be able to contact you, and if you so wish, you'll be able to contact them too. It's a great way to get in contact with other fans!
ABOUT PRINCE OF PERSIA
Prince of Persia is a series of action-adventure video games created in 1989 by Jordan Mechner. So far, the series has six games divided into two trilogies - this fanlisting focuses on the first of those trilogies, known as the "original" or "main" series, produced and released through Brøderbund. Each of the games in the Prince of Persia series is heavily time-based; the first two are played in real-time, with the third's last battle being played within a time limit also. (The theme of time was carried through to the second trilogy also; while explored differently, each of the three games have a huge emphasis on time.)
The games in the original Prince of Persia series are Prince of Persia (1989), Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame (1993) and Prince of Persia 3D (1999). They follow the story of an unnamed Prince (formerly an orphan) and his Princess.
Each of the games features elements of swordplay, puzzle-solving and obstacle avoidance. The player has unlimited lives, but limited time in which to complete the game. Additionally, a variety of potions can be found throughout each of the levels, having different effects on the Prince from giving him extra health to turning the world topsy-turvy around him.
While at first they may seem repetitive, the games are a lot of fun and enjoyable on even multiple replays, with lots of different ways to try and play, and, in the second, different paths to explore. Overall, they're a lot of fun!
