About fanlistings

A fanlisting is, quite simply, an online list of fans for a given subject. It's easy to join; all you need is a name, e-mail address, and country. Your e-mail is used only for database purposes and so that the fanlisting owner can contact you, for example if the listing moves or is closed. Also, if you choose to list your e-mail address on the list, other members will be able to contact you, and if you so wish, you'll be able to contact them too. It's a great way to get in contact with other fans!

About Haunting Ground

Known in Japan as デメント, Haunting Ground is a survival horror game originally meant to be part of the Clock Tower series. Although this was a plan scrapped early in the game's development, the gameplay still shares many similarities with the series in general, but especially Clock Tower 3. Released in early 2005 by survival horror giant Capcom, Haunting Ground follows the story of Fiona Belli, who wakes to find herself a prisoner in a butcher's room of a strange, gothic castle. As she works to escape the castle, she is relentlessly pursued by the dark, twisted creatures who inhabit it. Unable to fight, Fiona's only defense is to run and hide.

With multiple ways to win - and even more ways to die - Haunting Ground uses an innovative gameplay style to scare the player silly. The game encourages the player not to fight, but to run, with no real form of firepower present within the castle apart from Fiona's shoes and her lupine friend Hewie's teeth. Additionally, prolonged enemy contact drives Fiona into a panic attack, a state in which she is hard to control, and easy to kill. While there is no visible panic meter, as Fiona's fear increases, the screen gradually becomes blurry and desaturated and takes on a freeze frame effect. The controller vibrates in synch with her heartbeat, and the closer her enemies are, the faster and more frantic the music.

From beginning to end, Haunting Ground is a panicky rush, as the player leads Fiona around the castle, solving puzzles and running frantically from violent, insane creatures who like to appear at random, making the whole process very difficult - and very scary.
